We have held four day-long forums in different towns around the region between 2010 and 2014. Each has been attended by over one hundred representatives of government, industry and the community.
In that time we have witnessed the region go from importing about 95 per cent of its energy (most of it from fossil fuels) to becoming a national leader in the rollout of rooftop solar and an innovator in community energy, bioenergy and local Council energy and climate initiatives.
In 2015, instead of holding another full day forum, the organisers have decided to lend their weight to particular projects, some of which can be found under About – Initiatives. We intend to host another full day forum in 2016, but are also looking at lending our weight to one or two local energy events towards the end of 2015.

Becoming a sponsor of …
the North Coast Energy Forum
If you are interested in sponsoring a 2015/16 forum please read on.
The North Coast Energy Forum brings together a wide range of stakeholders with a shared interest in developing a comprehensive strategy for transitioning the North Coast to a sustainable energy system, including increasing the amount of local energy generation, storage and encouraging energy conservation and efficiency. This transition will help to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and greenhouse emissions whilst growing local economies and employment and also supporting community empowerment, leadership, learning and cohesion.
Previous forums in 2010, 2011,2013 and 2014 have combined keynote addresses by industry experts, panels on energy themes, workshops and plenaries. These Forums (each with approximately 100 attendees) have culminated in identifying shared priorities to support meaningful action and change.
